Sphere is looking to immediately hire a full-time Solutions Engineer.

Position Summary

This Solution Engineer is responsible for presenting a broad range of Sphere solutions to Business Development team identified prospects and existing customers while handling all technical objections in the sales cycle. Through carefully planned discovery with a range of stakeholders you will uncover the specific business requirements and value drivers that make the Sphere platform integration easy to understand and compelling. Working with the extended sales team you will help to develop a recommended integration strategy, demonstrate product or integration methods to the customer, and address any questions and concerns they may have. During this process you will create impactful relationships with customers and strive to become their trusted advisor.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform technical Discovery with prospect or existing clients to understand payment uses cases and product related needs.
  • Provide product demonstrations assisting business development in the sales process
  • Confidently explain complicated technical solutions and present them at the required level based on audience
  • Provides recommended payment processing design document providing an integration roadmap to prospect/existing clients
  • Provide directional guidance related to PCI implications of each Sphere product/integration methods
  • Facilitates initial questions on Sphere products and Integration Guides from prospect/existing clients
  • Be an innovator who can create new solutions using out-of-the-box thinking
  • Facilitates the sandbox/test platform system access to prospect/existing clients
  • Maintains inbound request tickets through internal ticketing systems and generates monthly performance reporting
  • Act as subject matter expert for all Sphere products & integration methods
  • Analyze current technologies used within the company and develop steps and processes to improve
  • Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates in relation to customer experience
  • Work alongside Developer Services team to successfully monitor progress and implementation of new clients

Qualifications

  • Experience in a comparable pre-sales position, supporting the sales cycle in selling Payments, Gateway, Acquiring or other high value business solutions
  • Technical understanding of SAAS solutions, general architecture and modern business applications including integrations
  • A broad understanding of Credit Card Payments/Acquiring
  • Experience in multi-product solution selling
  • Understanding of business analysis techniques and processes
  • Ability to work with various departments to facilitate the orderly execution from pre-sales to client implementation
  • Be self-motivated, flexible and proactive+
  • Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred

Working Conditions

  • Moderate travel required – Company travel is restricted until further notice
  • Exempt position but core office hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm
